Things to do

First and foremost, the best thing to do in Crovie is pretty simple......relax. Stroll through the village, explore the shore, take in the fantastic sunsets and fall asleep to the peaceful sound of the waves. If you do get itchy feet though, there's plenty to do in the local area to keep you occupied.

A walk round the cliffs to Gardenstown is definitely recommended. Home to the nearest pub, shop, kid's play park and tearoom - with a great little seafood restaurant also down by the harbour. For those wishing to take to the seas then go for the Explorer boat trip, which will take you fishing or out on a sightseeing trip to take in the local sealife. More information on Gardenstown can be found here.

The rest of the Banffshire coast has no shortage of attractions - MacDuff's marine aquarium, Duff House (one of Britain's finest Georgian homes), Troup Head (RSPB reserve with a huge variety of birdlife) and many hidden beaches should you be lucky enough to hit some good weather. You might also get the chance to see porpoises, minke whales or dolphins if you dust down the binoculars.

Plenty of information on more local attractions can be seen here.
